AFP: Mud covers New Orleans houses

Mud-covered houses in New OrleansA layer of mud
covers streets
and homes after
floodwaters from
Hurricane Katrina
receeded in New
Orleans.

The putrid waters
covering up to 60
percent of hurricane
-wrecked New Orleans
would be pumped
out by next month,
nearly two months
earlier than expected,
US Army engineers said.

Comments:
Calling that mixture "mud" is something of a misnomer. Semi-liquified, toxic, particle mix would probably be a closer fit.
